At the moment there are two backup regimes in place. /etc is backed up every 15 minutes and /home is backed up daily in the early hours of the morning. This should protect most user information, but note that we are not currently backing up anything in the /var tree, where some user sensitive information (database? wikipedia? mailman?) lives. This should be addressed. Eventually space will become a concern and we will have to throw away backups older than a certain date. This should also be addressed.
There should be no expectation of or security on these systems. Although we will try to maintain these qualities as much as possible, zooid.org is a shared system and should not be used for storing sensitive data.
