The model/view/control living ontology pattern is explained on the real web 3.0 for now. It has far more general applications however than the public web.

Evolution of the public web has demonstrated that the view evolves first with a simple minimal protocol like HTTP. Then some control (in the general sense described at control) emerges with wiki protocols including overblown webDAV. Finally a model that can better coordinate many views and controls may emerge, and it may look something like the semantic web but would be built bottom-up from weak ontology.
