A notice is a meta or framing introduction, in italics, before the actual text content. It is often temporary - if so it should link to as of.

Common uses of notices:

• to signal that something on the page is up for debate at an upcoming meeting, and that after the meeting it will be updated (and the notice removed, with links to the meeting minutes where the decision was made added into the text)
• to warn people trolls wrote or often edit the page, e.g. advising them to ignore it if they despise trolls
• make a disclaimer or copyright statement,
• put some limits or raise some objections about the page's POV.

This is a wiki best practice used with open politics in force. An extensive list of notices at openpolitics.ca is probably more than zooid:itself will ever require.
