A ruleset is a set of inter-related rules that must be implemented all together to work smoothly. That is, just discarding one or two tends to lead to chaotic effects. Some examples:
It is also reasonable to interpret zooid system and next zooid system as rulesets for shell users and other sophisticated users.
For very sophisticated users, e.g. programmers, zooid implementation also presents some constraints and tradeoffs that can be intepreted as a ruleset for those who "get it".
