Site trade
From eg
See ark/site/key for now. The key trade is the prototype for documenting other infra trades. The ark trade and site trade will copy that prototype by 2008.
According to the original 2004 crash course description, the site basics are:
- watershed
- geographical watershed location and ecological characteristics (which plants are native, etc.)
- water supply
- sewer and other waste water, i.e. "grey water"
- human and social environment, i.e. "the neighbourhood"
- wave trade input
- detailed ark-site spectral survey including vulnerability to "scanner", "tinfoil hat" and "Tempest" issues
- identify dead zones in the specific area
- utility services
- power reliability and switch/breaker quality
- fiber optic conduits or pre-existing bandwidth
- incoming water quality
- sewer reliability
- drainage (storm sewer)
- pricing and obligations
- standard lease terms
Some other concerns and opportunities that have arisen since then:
- specific weather vulnerabilities, especially under climate change, e.g. hurricanes, floods, tornados, forest fires
- specific social vulnerabilities, i.e. close proximity to heavily populated terrain that will become unlivable in an extended emergency
- resilient community - per openpolitics.ca
- net power metering
