In trollish, the verb to troll means the same as the verb to be: any time any living being does anything visible or described using symbols, it becomes trolling simply by being posed in a frame and continuing to exist and evolve beyond the restrictions of that frame. In English, the verb has many meanings including singing loudly and repetitively, annoying others deliberately (by any of those means), fishing with a hook. There is even a reflexive verb form, see self-trolls phenomena. It is also common to associate the verb with the supposed actions of ancient pre-human beings who challenge human authority, especially Christian authority - this follows usage in Norway - see Norwegian mountain troll - and Sweden - see trollkonor.
